Folic acid is mainly found in green vegetables such as broccoli, spinach, rose and kale as well as in egg yolks, asparagus, tomatoes, wheat germ and whole grain rye.

It is also advisable to take vitamins in tablet form before and during pregnancy. Folic acid is particularly important and should be taken before pregnancy.
